Maintenance method of power steering pump
3 Fix the power steering pump to a vise with a soft surface, then fix the pulley with a pulley holder, and remove the pulley nut and pulley. Be careful not to damage the steering pump housing with the vice jaws
4. Remove the liquid inlet connector and O-ring
5. Loosen the flow control valve cap with a hexagon wrench and remove the valve cap, O-ring, spring and flow control valve
6. Remove the pump cover and the pump cover seal
7. Remove the outer side plate, cam ring, rotor, blade, side plate and O-ring
8. Remove the snap ring and remove the auxiliary valve from the steering pump housing
9. Remove the snap ring, and then gently tap the shaft end with a soft hammer to remove the transmission shaft
10. Remove the steering pump seal from the steering pump housing
fix the power steering pump a to the vise B with a soft surface, and then use the pulley holder d to fix the pulley C at the "3rd Medical Plastics forum" held for two days yesterday, and remove the pulley nut E and pulley. Be careful not to damage the steering pump housing with the vice jaws
11. Check the flow control valve for wear, burrs, and other damage to the edge of the groove in the valve
12. Check the flow control valve bore on the steering pump housing for scoring and wear
13. Slide the flow control valve backward into the steering pump housing and check that it can enter and exit smoothly
if correct, go to step 14; If incorrect, replace the steering pump as an assembly. Flow control valve a cannot be used alone
14. Connect hose a to the end of flow control valve B. Then immerse the flow control valve into a container containing power steering fluid C and apply compressed air to the hose
if the pressure is lower than 98kpa, bubbles will escape from the control valve, and the steering pump will be replaced as an assembly
the flow control valve cannot be used alone. If the flow control valve is normal, put it aside for reassembly
15. Slowly rotate the outer race to check the ball bearing. If you feel clearance (axial or radial) or instability, remove the faulty ball bearing a and install a new B
reassemble
16 Align pin a of auxiliary valve B with oil passage C in the steering pump housing, push the auxiliary valve into place, and then install snap ring D
17. First, install the new steering pump seal a (with its groove side facing inward) into the steering pump housing B by hand, and then use the disassembler and accessories to push, so that there is no step on the top of the steering pump seal and the seal is completely in place in the steering pump housing
18. Position the steering transmission shaft a in the steering pump housing and press it in with a socket wrench B of appropriate size
19. Install 40mm snap ring C with its beveled edge facing outward
20. Apply a layer of power steering fluid to the new steering pump cover seal a and install it into the groove in the steering pump cover B
21. Install the outer side panel C on the two roller pins d with the groove e facing upward
22. Install the cam ring a on the two roller pins with the "·" mark B facing down
23. Install rotor a on steering pump cover B
24. Install 10 blades C into the grooves of the rotor. Make sure that the round end D of the blade is in contact with the sliding surface of the cam ring
25. Apply a layer of power steering fluid on the new O-ring a, which also points out the direction for the development of plastic granulator technology in China, and install it into the groove of side plate B
26. Align the drum pin fixing hole D on the side plate with the drum pin e, and install the side plate that has an important and positive impact on the environment onto the cam ring C
27. Apply power steering fluid to the new bright 51.0mm O-ring A and install it into the bottom of the steering pump housing
28. Install the steering pump cover assembly B into the steering pump housing. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque in two or more steps alternately
29. Apply a layer of power steering fluid to flow control valve a, and then install it and spring B into the steering pump housing
30. Coat the new O-ring C with power steering fluid and install it on the flow control valve cover D. then install the valve cover on the steering pump housing. Tighten it to the specified torque
31. Apply a layer of power steering fluid on the new 14.8mm O-ring A and install it on the fluid inlet connector B. Install the fluid inlet connector onto the steering pump housing
32. Install pulley a, and then loosely install pulley nut B. Fix the steering pump to a soft faced vise. Be careful not to damage the steering pump housing with the vice jaws
33. Fix the pulley with the pulley holder and tighten the pulley nut to the specified torque
34. Rotate the pulley by hand, and check and confirm that the steering pump can rotate smoothly. If the rotation is difficult, loosen the four flange bolts on the cover, and then retighten in the same way as in step 29. Retest. If the steering pump is still difficult to rotate, replace the pump
